Substitute is a speculative design that seeks to envision a future where technological advancements allow the creation of substitute meats that replicate the taste, texture and appearance of wild animal meat. Influenced by the poaching of endangered animals, Zhu demonstrates her vision of the future through an inedible example of this food source.
