Romeo Hodges
out of touch
Romeo Hodges is a multidisciplinary designer and former architectural blacksmith, currently residing in London. He brings a global perspective from living in Mexico, California, and Australia. His practice focuses on combining his love of traditional crafts with a modern design approach. Hodges’ work places emphasis on the innate characteristics of materials and the feeling that they convey.
Out of Touch is a series of milking stools crafted from London-felled silver birch and reimagined in aluminium, resin and concrete. Out of Touch explores the loss of connection to the environment evident in modern society through the juxtaposition of the visual and physical qualities of the stools.
