False Chair explores the relationship between consumerism and mainstream trends. Jianming Fang creates a leather chair based on ancient Chinese foot stalls, that intrigues with its exterior, but is completely empty and hollow within its interior, a sharp comment on the nature of consumerist ideals and how one can be persuaded by appearance alone.
