Hannah Rot is an emerging Austrian designer and ceramicist, working in London. Rot's practice concerns the design of sustainable systems and consumer behaviour change – looking to localise industry manufacture, by implementing more regenerative and circular methods of production. She often uses the immediate surroundings to establish meaning, in a place-based design practice.

Temporary Constructions is a series of light installations that explore the potential application of unfired London clay as a sustainable material in commercial product design. Locally sourced and infinitely recyclable, the lampshades are a statement on mindfulness in the imminent depletion of natural resources, with form taking influence from the social and historical landscape of London.
