20,000

Cameron Griffin is a designer-maker based in London. His work is centred around highlighting inherent value of materials and researching the factors that affect the perceived value of an object to a user. His designs often repurpose found objects to create new forms while still referencing the object's original use. Inspired by circular economies, he celebrates the use of found materials in his works and ensures the finished object earnestly communicates a narrative.

20,000 is a series of distorted bike locks which playfully comment on the routine dismantlement of bikes and locks by thieves in London. The project utilises some of the rejected materials and manipulates them into a new form.
